Personal ramblings and rants of a somewhat twisted mind

Grab life by the wheels!

Every once in a while, a great idea comes along that has the potential to radically improve the life of those with a disability. A client of mine who has the talent of thinking outside the box has come up with a brilliant concept to improve the mobility of many who are restricted to a wheelchair. Meet Kevin Halsall – the inventor of the ogo.

  1. Awesome Barry. What an amazing leap in wheelchair technology. And with positive medical benefits as well. I’d love top try one out (I’m ambulatory but likely not indefinitely because of dialysis complications).

    • I think it has the potential to revolutionise the mobility industry and not just as a wheelchair replacement. If the day comes that I need something like a mobility scooter to get around, I would opt for the ogo, provided I still had some core strength left.

  2. Wow. I would like to try one, and any disability I have is entirely mental.

    • It’s in preproduction at present, so there’s is only a handful existing as yet. The thought of being able to whiz about at up to 20 km/hr with complete manoeuvrability is rather exiting. Beats a typical wheelchair or mobility scooter hands down.
